Sunday Olapade fulfilled his aspiration of winning the Tour Championship, his fourth West Africa Golf Tour title in 2018. The Nigerian started the final round leading the championship and finished at 10-under.
He opened his game with a 71, 68, 68 and a closing final round of 71 for 10-under 278 over 4-days.
Ghanaian Vincent Torgah entered the final round in search of this fifth victory of the season but shot 1-over par 73 and finished the tournament at 4-under, six strokes behind the winner.
First round leader Gift Willy closed the final day at 2-over par 74 and 1-over par for the tournament with for a third-place finish. Visiting Mapwanya carded 1-over par and ended the tournament at 2-over to finish in the fourth position.
Abuja based Mohammed Liman posted a closing level par (72) for 4-over for the tournament to come in the fifth position. Michael Ubi played the best round of the day. His card featured one eagle on the par 5, Hole 5 and four other birdies.
The Tour championship is West Africa Golf Tour’s closing tournament for 2018.
